In 1831, North Canton began as the Village of New Berlin. By 1837, the name had changed to North Canton. Famed originally for being the home of Hoover vacuum cleaners, these days North Canton boasts the Pro Football Hall of Fame and McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, as well as the National First Ladies Museum. There’s also a thriving Art District downtown.
